Welcome and 2017 VOTING FAQ

Fellow PEC Members,

It is an honor to serve you as your PEC Board President and Representative for District 2.  I began this blog to help inform and educate my fellow member-owners about important things happening in our Co-op. My hope is that by checking in here every now and then, you will know a little bit more about what it means to be a part of  PEC and how your voice can make a difference in the governance, policy, and operations of your electric provider.  If you ever have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.  Your opinion matters to me greatly, and I’ll always do my best to answer you in a timely manner.

Thank you for your time and support.

Emily Pataki

Voting FAQ:

Who can vote in this election?

Anyone who is a District 2 or District 3 member of the Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) can vote in this election. District 2 members will vote for their local District 2 Director; district 3 members will vote for their local District 3 Director.  Click here for a map of District 2 – if you are a resident or run a business in District 2, you are eligible to vote.

Why should I vote for Emily?

Your electric bills are between 17% – 20% lower than they were less than three years ago because of Emily’s work on your behalf. She has voted to lower rates SEVEN CONSECUTIVE TIMES during her first term.

Emily is running to reduce your electric rates, strengthen ties between PEC and its communities, and ensure excellent service for all members. You deserve a board director that will listen to you and help you keep your money where it belongs – IN YOUR POCKET!

How can I vote for Emily?

You have the option to vote in person at the Annual Meeting on June 17th at Leander High School. Voting booths will be open between 9-10am only – so come early; enjoy some tasty breakfast treats; and make your voice count in your electric cooperative!
